In her inspiring speech regarding happiness and how to find it even through the darkest moment, Barbara LeVeque referred to a few authors that she leaned on as resources. During the time of her 60th birthday, Barbara dived into happiness and the science behind happiness. She vowed she would live a life of happiness moving forward.


Here are a few books (and moving authors) from her arsenal.




Dr Joe Dispenza { author | lecturer | chiropractor }

Dr Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a Doctor of Chiropractic. His post graduate training includes the fields of neuroscience and neuroplasticity, quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG) measurements, epigenetics, mind-body medicine, and brain/heart coherence. As a researcher, lecturer, author, and corporate consultant, his interest lies in demystifying the mystical so that people have all the tools within their reach to make measurable changes in their lives.

Shawn Achor { author | speaker | CEO of Good Think Inc}

After spending twelve years at Harvard University, Shawn Achor has become one of the world’s leading experts on the connection between happiness and success. His research on mindset made the cover of Harvard Business Review, his TED talk is one of the most popular of all time with over 13 million views, and his lecture airing on PBS has been seen by millions. Shawn has lectured or worked with over a third of the Fortune 100 companies, as well as the NFL, the NBA, the Pentagon and the White House.


Shawn is the author of New York Times best-selling books The Happiness Advantage (2010) and Big Potential (2018).
